Each year, artists from all over the country gather in the small historic town of Edom, Texas, to show their best works for 2 days of typically gorgeous weather, beautiful art, wine tasting, and fantastic local food.
Back then, Joe would open up his shop, Arbor Castle Birdhouses (now The Blessed Bee), to show off his greatest creations to the public from his in-house studio on the edge of this lovely little town set in the Piney Woods of east Texas.
Edom Art Festival still happens each October for festivities, great people-watching, and the Best in Art.
